Singer Special Edition Singer Special Edition is a modernized version of the traditional sewing machineThe Singer Special Edition is a modernized version of the traditional sewing machine containing computer controls, a very simple LCD screen, a modern lightweight body, built-in storage and accessory compartments.

While its ingenious LCD screen finds and selects the desired styles and stitches, its control console is applaudably straightforward with its minimal buttons and levers.

The available stitch and style patterns in the Singer Special Edition is increasingly impressive, enabling quilting and embroidery work a major plus with the machine.

Singer 90S Special Edition 300x227 Singer Special Edition is a modernized version of the traditional sewing machineDespite its very sophisticated and powerful nature, the Singer Special Edition remains to be very easy to set up and use, setting up involving only unpacking, plugging in the foot pedal and power cord, clicking in the base that also holds accessories and it’s ready to go.

It is very easy to get the thread from spool to needle, provides an easy to manage bobbin and a foot that is super easy to change with a single button and click, not to mention it has an automatic needle threader as well.

One of the favorite features of the Singer Special Edition is its speed control on the machine front, dispelling any worries of having a lead foot on the pedal while not really yet ready for a high stitching speed and helping attain the cleanest stitches with different fabric types.

What People Say about the Singer Special Edition:

Singer Special Edition Needle Zoom 300x300 Singer Special Edition is a modernized version of the traditional sewing machine“Bought this for my 19 year old daughter for her birthday. It’s such a quiet machine and we love that it does a little bit of embroidery as well. It didn’t take her long to pick up the basics though there is still a lot more that can be done that she will have to learn. She tried out using it to sew her name and a few stitch designs and they came out pretty nice. She’s sewn a few different materials with it so far and it has done a great job with each one. It’s also pretty light and will make a good portable machine which works well for her because she does some group sewing that meets at different locations. She’s VERY new to sewing and we don’t know much about it but she was able to pick it up on her own by reading the book and experimenting.” – Mike

Singer Special Edition SwiftSmart Threading Singer Special Edition is a modernized version of the traditional sewing machine“Bought this for my Mom, after trolling the reviews online for a week. She LOVES it, as it has enough of the old-er “look n feel” of her 20 year old Singers and Husqys. I did make her read the manual, as many users online had complained about setop – but that’s simply because they didn’t READ … things do change a bit in 20 years.

We will be prying this one outa her cold-dead hands, already on her second quilt ( 60 hours of actual straight / zig / lockstitch sewing already done on this machine ) with ZERO complaints.” – jon.scot

“So let’s start with me stating that I am new at sewing, as in brand new. I remember sewing a few things years ago with my mother, like costume parts and little trinkets, but I’ve never been an actual sewer. This is my chance to get going on it, so take this review for what it is, a review from a complete novice.

Now I’ve always used machines that were set-up for someone else. So my first attempt at this was trying to figure out how to thread this thing and get the bobbin ready. I found the instructions to be completely worthless in this regard and went to YouTube. Everything machine is a little different it seems, but eventually I figure out how this one is supposed to work and I had some thread around I have used for hand sewing to get going.

Singer Special Edition Needle 300x300 Singer Special Edition is a modernized version of the traditional sewing machineNow this comes with a tone accessories and some additional feet that were not listed on the box or book which came with an insert explaining the additions. One of the feet listed on the book was also updated to a new better version, Singer claims. I found this incredibly useful as well as an explanation for what each foot does.

Now i know there are sewing tables specifically designed for these machines, but using a regular table mostly works with the exception the the cords seem oddly short, both the power and the pedal. I guess since I am used to working with other electronics, this surprised me a little. The LCD is a good save, so I don’t have to look through a manual to figure out what stitch is being used, it shows you right there. Getting the needle threaded by the automatic threader mostly works… I would say maybe 70% of the time, and if it failed I just tried again. Mine came with a needle already in the machine.

The cover for this thing is okay, although I imagine getting some sort of carrying case eventually. The hidden drawer is plenty big for all the feet and small accessories, which I love. I think the machine itself looks pretty sharp, especially for silver plastic. There is a cutter on the Singer Special Edition machine. You can vary the special stitch size by the speed, got some cute fat flowers that way.

I am really looking forward to make some basic stuff with this, and I think this is a machine that will carry me forward through my various projects. The only problems I’ve had so far as just rookie mistakes, nothing machine specific.” – Tanya McHenry
